Diggs Bar and Grill: The Next Foodie Experience

It’s been some months since I have had the opportunity to join David Schreiber on a foodie outing. I was thrilled, my favorite lady, Ashley (aka: Lashes) was able to join to add to the laughter and fun.

Our choice of destination was Diggs, a bar and grill a co-worker of mine recommended due to the atmosphere and ability to entertain children while adults hang out.

Was it kid approved with adult fun to be had?

I took along my eleven year old son to zero in on the full potential of Diggs Bar and Grill.

Ashley and I grabbed a cold brew from the menu and we all headed outside after ordering our food. Diggs has a relaxing, beachy vibe with sand from the volleyball courts, a sanded playground area for the kids, outside tiki bar, and corn hole game potential. Ashley and I chose a glider for seating where we could watch my son run around and play with the other kids. David joined Ashley and I, chatting with us on our thoughts of Digg’s atmosphere along with some much overdo personal conversation.

When our food was ready (check out the menu here) we headed in where live music was being sung, a couple played a game of darts, and other patrons invested themselves in the Cincinnati Reds Baseball game.

As a pescatarian my choices are always limited and Diggs was no exception for me on that front. However, when I adjust my healthy eating habits every once in a while, I am able to find a good dopamine rush in comfort food. Diggs provided me with one of my favorite comfort foods. Nachos. The white queso was pressed against the crispy chips with a layer of cheddar. It was served with a side of salsa and sour cream. Delicious, but had regret not requesting them topped off with lettuce and tomato.
