What Happens When The Duo Becomes A Trio? Food Review For Cincinnati, Slatts:

The first team up with Cincinnati foodie, David Schreiber, has not ended. In David’s next food review for Slatts, an American cuisine establishment located in Blue Ash, Ohio, he turned our duo into a trio. David assured me, his friend of over fifteen years, Ashley Money, and I’d hit off like two peas in a pod. He wasn’t wrong. Through text messages she clenched my heart with a picture of her pet pig, Oliver, and then in person her sense of humor and knowledge of health, herbs and plants made me see hearts. Sorry, David, I think I love her more.

What happened when our trio got together for a food review? I couldn’t keep a straight face to say the least. The energy of the other two along with the humor I desired to disclose in the review, had me cracking up with words in my head before they could hit my tongue.

David was cool and calm and collect as always, and Ashley straightened up with her review, great delivery, all providing the information you need when trying Slatts for the first time.

Slatts was clean and roomy, a long bar lining one side of the wall, a party room for rental in the back and plenty of booths and tables for seating. The staff was friendly, accommodating and the service was quick. Slatts also has an outdoor area to dine on nice days or evenings and the restrooms were clean, thank goodness.

Slatts menu was abundant, and with the healthy lifestyle I keep, the pescatarian I am, I’m excited to say there are a lot of options. The menu wasn’t just made for people like me though, the menu balances out well for people like David, meat entrees, sides and appetizers to appease everyone. They have a lengthy drink menu with specialty margarita, mules, and martinis, perfect for Ashley and I. Local craft beers fill the menu along with domestic and imported. They have numerous specials, day pending, like half off bottles of wine on Wednesday and happy hour prices Monday through Friday. I recommend checking out their website before you visit.

For this review, poor David having to find flags for editing purposes, I called out to rate one through five in American flags. Slatts was listed as “American cuisine” in my Google maps so made sense to me. I’m sure next time I suggest olives, flags or… he might slap me around a bit? Nah, I can suggest all kind of outlandish themed ratings, he’s a go with the flow kind of guy. Maybe Ashley and I can come up with something clever to throw him off next review…. There is a thought.

That being said, I personally give Slatts a five out of five American Flags and would love to go back and try more of the menu.

Not that hard to find five flags, David! 😝
