How To Wean Off Bad Carbs In A Month…. And Beat Depression

The difference between winning and losing is most often not quitting. ~ Walt Disney

I’m a huge Disney fan; And when I say I’m a huge Disney fan I’m referring to the man himself, Walt.

Walt created an empire that will live in this world forever and you know how? He never gave up. He didn’t take no for an answer. He saw his vision and decided: This is reality. AND guess what? It became one.

Rejections, debt collectors pounding at his door, banks slamming doors, amongst the eye rolls and discouraging words… Walt persevered.

There’s much to admire in a man that builds a magical empire from an infinity amount of tenacity and a mouse. (and a huge heart)

Ponder on Walt’s quote for a moment, when he imagines an infinite amusement park:

“Disneyland will never be completed. It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world.”

Now ponder this.

His words, ideas and belief are so powerful it proceeds his death, into the twenty-first century (fifty four years after his death), and stronger than ever. HIS imagination continues on in millions of other people’s minds, hearts and souls around the world. (Really, think about it, it’s mind blowing)

Because of Walt Disney, not taking “no” for an answer, people of all race, religion, gender and age from around the world come together at one place. People base what they want to do in life, become, career and otherwise on… you get the idea?

That, friends, is some serious positive brain power.

Now, though I’d love to give you a history lesson on this marvelous man, because I do admire him, I’m going to simplify the lesson from Walt, right here. What you tell yourself sticks in your brain. Like super glue. What if Walt told himself he was a failure? What if, after the debt collectors shut his office doors and he couldn’t pay employees he said “Well, that’s it. I failed again,” and just quit?

Look, when you say “Oh, I’m so stupid…” or “I can’t do that…” your subconscious mind is sponging onto the vision that you are stupid and putting walls on things you’ve never even tried out of fear. If you tell yourself ‘I have anxiety‘… your subconscious mind is holding that. When you say ‘I have depression…’ Yup, you guessed it, your subconscious mind is holding onto that.

Now, very specific I’m not saying anxiety and depression aren’t real. They are all very real, but what if instead of saying ‘I have depression’ you tried ‘I beat depression‘? I beat depression every single day. I beat depression down Muhammad Ali style.

Try it. Say it allowed.

Does it feel good? Just a little?

If you are telling your subconscious mind I beat depression then what is your subconscious mind going to relay? When you use the tools I give you to beat depression everyday, then what’s going to happen?

You beat depression everyday.

You see the vision and you make it happen.

In my last blog I explain how good feelings build serotonin levels in the brain. If you think and feel negatively you are putting stress on yourself and the body which decrease chemical levels in the brain that you need to fight depression.

Because you are beating depression you have to keep your serotonins levels up.

I’m going to give you the tools you need to wean yourself off the bad foods and use the good foods to reboot your brain. This is so your brain can again build serotonin and dopamine levels (and more) by its squishy self, without the help of bad foods. It’s important you understand to beat depression everyday is a lifestyle change. You are transforming from a caterpillar to a butterfly and now drinking nectar instead of eating leaves. It won’t feel that way, at first, but eventually you will realize how sweet the transforming taste.

I’m going to give you tools to do this, but it’s up to you to use them. Are you going to drive the nail through the wood with the hammer? OR Are you going to keep trying to use your hand? Seriously, ouch! Just take the hammer.

I’m writing this for you, friends because I believe in you and I believe you can make these positive changes in your life. I’ve figured out how to beat it every day and now you will too. In fact, I think every single person out there that suffers from depression can use these methods to beat it everyday too…. Sure, you’ll come to paths of hardship, anger, stress and sadness but having the tools to positively deal with these bumpy roads are going to change your health significantly. You will change your outlook on life while beating depression down every frickin day and never questioning your self worth again.

Y’ all ready for this? (Cue the song)

This is the follow up to the blog, as promised, Brain Boosting Lifestyle change, offering the first tool to begin your three month brain reboot.

First month FREE! (Just kidding. It’s all free. Seriously, it is.) I’m so excited how this lifestyle change has transformed me that I want to shout it out to the world and help everyone and anyone else that needs and will use this information. I’m giving you all the tools you need, minus the years and months of trial and error. Depression sucks. Seriously, sucks. If you can have control of that, why wouldn’t you?

We start here.

Bad News: Your one month of bad carb weaning does NOT count as part of your three month brain reboot.

Good News: Weaning off carbs (we are including soda, juices, candy etc.) slowly every week is going to make your reboot more manageable. If you don’t wean your brain and body before month one, it will be unbearable. Your body will feel like it’s in shock and unable to function.

Okay, so you are officially going to wean off bad carbs in three weeks before starting the Three Month Brain Boosting Lifestyle Change. (The crowd goes wild) This isn’t going to be easy, but trust me, it’s going to be easier than your first month of jump starting to rebooting your brain. So, be positive like The Little Engine That Could and instead of saying “I think I can… I think I can…” repeat “I know I will. I know I will.”

I’m right here if you need any guidance along the way to assist and answer any questions.

Find the monthly guidance chart below by clicking on the Download and print out the Fighting Spices blog to keep on hand. Never hurts to start a month early. You’ll be ahead of the game.

PS: Keep drinking lots of water! It’s important to curb appetite and stay healthy.

(AND SUBSCRIBE below so you don’t miss the three month “workbook” to guide you through the rest of brain reboot)

Good luck, friends!

May The Force Be With You!
